IACP offers Free In-Car Camera Training Program
First session begins July 19 in Hammond, La.
The Gulf States Regional Community Policing Institute, in partnership with the Law Enforcement Mobile Video Institute and the International Association of Chiefs of Police will offer an 8-hour in-car camera training program to law enforcement professionals and prosecutors beginning July 19, 2004. This training is sponsored by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS.) All course registration and tuition is paid by the DOJ. Proof of law enforcement agency employment is required for all classes except the community forum. Prosecutors must present proof of employment through their individual judicial districts. The course will be held in 21 sites around the country over the next two years. The first session, July 19-22, will be held in Hammond, LA.
