The NEC Criminal Justice Management System offers a series of modules that address specific law enforcement applications. Those modules -- which include Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Case Management, Crime Scene Management, Jail Management, and Automated Field Reporting functions -- and combined with ruggedized mobile computers and NEC fault tolerant servers to provide a comprehensive law enforcement information system to capture, report and analyze the critical information necessary for agencies to better serve their communities.
As part of the CJMS's functionality, officers can enter and maintain vital information on individuals and attach a variety of digital media. The system automatically creates standard forms, including incident and arrest reports. It can capture digital photographic, fingerprint and palmprint images, which prevents alterations of data to ensure evidence admissibility. All data collected in any module can be queried for criminal investigations. This means that names, vehicles, dates, times, narratives, comments, nicknames or any other data can be searched alone or together.
