"Increasing efficiency for producers and carriers doing business in our state is a key priority for MID," said George Dale, Commissioner of Insurance for Mississippi. "With the implementation of our new system from Sircon, we are also improving our ability to serve individual producers and agencies, in addition to insurance carriers. Sircon has been a great partner working with us to fulfill our vision for Mississippi being a great place to do business in the insurance industry."
Mississippi has gone live on the latest version of Sircon for States, Release 4.5, which includes several recent enhancements such as the new Enforcement Case Module, support for the Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) process, enhanced Financial Summary functionality to view and track select financial data for companies, enhanced search criteria for Rate and Form Filings and support for course completions by the National Producer Number (NPN) and license number, in addition to the Social Security Number (SSN).
This migration also opens up direct online access to Mississippi for the first time for insurance carriers and producers to process electronic appointments, terminations, license applications, renewals and many more services through Sircon's Compliance Express.
"We are very pleased to be able to work with the state of Mississippi on their conversion," said Gary Gummig, Vice President of eGovernment for Sircon Corporation. "Mississippi has been a great partner throughout the planning, conversion and go-live and we look forward to their continued participation as a member of SIRC (State Insurance Regulators Consortium), an independent group of states that help promote best practices among state regulators as well as provide guidance for the direction of the Sircon for States offering."
