Public Safety Foundation of America Awards $542,000 In Enhanced 9-1-1 Grants

Eight counties receive funds

The Public Safety Foundation of America (PFSA) recently announced an additional series of grants to support and expedite the implementation of wireless enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) throughout the U.S. In this round of funding, over $542,000 is being awarded to nine grantees in eight states.

The grant announcement includes:
  • $51,605 to Union County (Ga.) 9-1-1;
  • $91,604 to the Grundy County (Ill.) Emergency Telephone System Board;
  • $44,000 to the Gentry County (Mo.) Emergency Dispatch;
  • $55,603 to the Seward County (Neb.) 9-1-1 Emergency Communication Center;
  • $101,755 to the Burlington County (N.J.) Department of Public Safety Services;
  • $31,825 to the Cherokee County (Okla.) 9-1-1;
  • $66,106 to the Door County (Wis.) Sheriff's Department;
  • $47,957 to the North Shore (Wis.) Public Safety, and;
  • $51,555 to the Washakie County (Wyo.) Sheriff's Office.
These grants bring the total funds allocated by the PSFA to over $12 million assisting 199 agencies in 41 States and the District of Columbia. The PSFA is responsible for assisting agencies serving more than 41 million American citizens.
