What nation recently opened a highway strictly for use by bicyclists?

Germany recently opened a three-mile stretch of road reserved exclusively for bicycles. The road will eventually expand to reach across more than 60 miles and connect 10 western cities and four universities. The bicycle highway will run alongside railroad tracks that are no longer used in an industrial region that's seen better days, Phys.org reported. Nearly 2 million Germans live within two kilometers of the planned route.
