What new service is Uber offering in Thailand?

Uber is piloting a two-wheeled ride-sharing service in Bangkok, Thailand, called UberMOTO. Drivers for the new service will be required to pass the same background checks as regular drivers and will also be required to provide riders with helmets. In a press release, Uber noted that this service is possible because motorbikes are already a popular form of transportation in the city and gridlock makes two-wheeled vehicles a practical alternative. The average daily commute in Bangkok takes 120 minutes, according to Uber.
