Stuck more than 2,000 miles away for a work commitment, an Australian father-to-be was recruited by Samsung to showcase how its technology could make magical moments.

"As one of the leaders in technology innovation, Samsung wanted to demonstrate the potential of virtual reality and how this unique technology can address real challenges people face every day," Samsung Chief Marketing Officer Arno Lenior said.



A consumer version of the Oculus Rift, the competing Facebook-owned VR headset, is meanwhile approaching launch sometime this year.
