Why did one citizen file 6,500 noise complaints?

Answer: because the airport was too loud

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport received 8,670 noise complaints last year, and about 6,500 of them came from the same person, officials reported. That’s about 18 phone calls per day.

An official from the D.C. Fair Skies Coalition has said that he hopes this one citizen’s complaints didn’t detract from the legitimate concerns by some citizens that the airport’s new incoming and outgoing flight patterns have created noise problems for those who live nearby.
