Ford recently filed a patent on what new autonomous-vehicle entertainment technology?

Once the public becomes comfortable with autonomous vehicles and car makers begin looking for new ways to enhance the ride, watching YouTube on your car’s windshield and windows may become commonplace. And Ford is trying to lock down the idea now. In one schematic, Ford’s concept shows a drop-down movie screen illuminated by a projector in the middle of the vehicle’s interior. But the company said it's not committed to the idea, just keeping its options open.

"We submit patents on innovative ideas as a normal course of business. Patent applications are intended to protect new ideas but aren’t necessarily an indication of new business or product plans," a Ford spokesperson told Forbes.
