Mores specifically, the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority will start a pilot where it sets bait stations chock full of chemicals that will essentially neutralize female rats' reproductive systems, The Atlantic Cities reported.
The next litter the female rodents give birth to might be reduced by half, and the following litter may consist of only two or three offspring. And after that, according to The Atlantic Cities, the mothers might not be able to conceive during any cycle in their lifetime.
