Since the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries launched its HuntFishVA App in July 2011, the app -- which lets users search on their smartphones for hunting- and fishing-related information in the state -- has exceeded 25,000 downloads on iPhone, iPod Touch and Android platforms, according to the department.
