Exactly 68 years ago today, Adolf Hitler took his own life. Before the allied forces stormed his bunker, however, escape kits were hidden in games of Monopoly to help thousands of soldiers escape their German captors, according to The Atlantic. Metal files and compasses were disguised as playing pieces, real currency was mixed in with the monopoly money and silk maps were hidden in the board.
