The new U.S. $100 bill.
A redesigned version of the $100 bill will be released on Oct. 8, 2013. Originally announced in 2010, unanticipated technical problems came up with the machines used to manufacture legal tender. The redesigned bill will have new security features, including a blue 3-D security ribbon running down the middle of the bill.
