But don't worry, despite the photo of destruction, scientists say there is no chance of the 1.7 mile long asteroid hitting Earth as it passes at 1:59 p.m. PDT.
Scientists are unsure of the asteroid's origin, and say that it's not expected to make another pass of the Earth until 2119.
