What technology is Arx Pax using to fight earthquakes?

Answer: hover technology

The Los Gatos, Calif.-based company Arx Pax, which raised more than $500,000 on Kickstarter for the development of a personal hoverboard, is now looking at hover technology that can lift entire buildings in the event of a ground tremor. CEO Greg Henderson said the system would combine with the U.S. Geological Survey’s ShakeAlert system to ensure the building was lifted before the quake began. The system has not yet been installed on a building.
