How did little Katelyn Vincik get a new arm?
Answer: from her library’s 3-D printer
Vincik was on a waitlist for more than a year to get a prosthetic arm — and then the Harris County Public Library in Texas made one for her. The new pink and purple appendage isn’t FDA approved, but it’s better than no arm at all. When the arm bends, the fingers clasp together, and they release as the arm straightens out.
