Is the cloud too risky for government?
Answer: some government IT leaders think so
A Dell and Dimensional Research survey released Sept. 10 shows that 74 percent of federal government IT workers believe the lack of security provided by cloud computing will likely prevent more agencies from adopting the technology, despite the benefits of adoption. Seventy-one percent of those surveyed said the cloud enables better productivity, but about 90 percent admitted that security was more important than convenience.
