Why is the Pouncer drone hollow?
Answer: to carry food
Pouncer, a drone created by a former member of the British Army Catering Corps., was inspired by the wasteful design used by traditional parachute aid delivery systems. The device was designed so that every part of it could be used after delivery. Pouncer holds up to 200 pounds of food in its hollow frame, navigates to its destination using GPS, and can be dismantled and its wooden frame used for shelter. Production is expected to begin within the next two years.
