What town has Wi-Fi connected pavement?

Answer: Chesham, England

In Chesham, England, citizens can access Wi-Fi via "Smart WiFi Pavement," a pilot project undertaken by Virgin Media. Providing Internet connection speeds of up to 166 Mbps according to the company, Chesham citizens and visitors will have greater online access outside their homes.

"I am delighted that we’ve been able to bring a UK first to Chesham with Virgin Media’s ultrafast Wi-Fi, helping local people and businesses get online. Efficient connectivity is pivotal to running businesses today and I am proud we are part of a project which is crossing new boundaries,” said Fred Wilson, a Chesham town councilor and cabinet member of the Chiltern District Council.

According to a Virgin press release, the pilot is just one in a series of projects that aims to extend Virgin's network and provide better connectivity to UK citizens.
