What technology is being recalled in the wake of last week's massive DDoS attack?
Answer: hacked webcams
Last week, multiple sites were hit by a cyberattack that resulted in crashes and extremely slow load times on sites worldwide. As a result, a Chinese electronics company Hangzhou Xiongmai is recalling its webcams in the U.S. — webcams that some security researchers say are at fault for the attack, given the company's "lagging security practices and use of a default username and password in its software and camera components," The Verge reported.
