What sites is NASA using to give visitors an "out-of-this-world journey"?

Answer: Pinterest and GIPHY

As of Dec. 8, NASA is now using animated GIFs to take viewers on a journey. Through the giphy.com database and search engine of animated images in GIF format, NASA allows users to download and share the agency’s creations on their own social media accounts, among many other things, according to a press release, which also notes that the space agency is sharing historic images and videos on Pinterest. Which is cool. But these GIFs are cooler. See for yourself:
