Stay in your lane, Tesla. No, really.

There is now a dedicated “Tesla” lane at the U.S-Mexico border. The electric carmaker reportedly struck a deal with the state of Nuevo León, Mexico, for expedited crossing at the border in the form of a dedicated lane.

But that doesn’t mean anyone driving a Tesla can just sail on through. The Tesla lane is designated for the company and its suppliers, so they can have a “much more expedited and efficient” crossing, according to Iván Rivas, Nuevo León’s economic minister.

Nuevo León sits on approximately 10 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border. The decision to give Tesla its own border crossing lane demonstrates its commitment to being a business-friendly state. “It was a simple incentive … and maybe there will be a lane for other companies in the future like there is for Tesla,” Rivas said.
