If you’re a Microsoft Teams user and you’ve ever wished you could play games during a meeting, you’re in luck. On Wednesday, Microsoft announced it was bringing a Games for Work feature to its virtual meeting application, and it does pretty much exactly what it sounds like.
Teams meeting participants will be able, if they so choose, to launch one of four games that they can play with their coworkers during a meeting. These include Icebreakers, Wordament, Minesweeper and Solitaire. Solitaire even comes with spectator mode, where those who choose not to play can watch the game and comment from the sidelines.
“Games promote creativity, collaboration and communication in powerful and unique ways, and we can't wait to see how the Games for Work app on Microsoft Teams inspires productivity and helps foster connections in the workplace,” said Jill Braff, Microsoft’s general manager of Integrations and Casual Games.
