How can you share a ride-share without having to share the same space?

Answer: By dividing the vehicle into pods.

This one is for the introverts — Pliyt has built a ride-share vehicle that gives you complete privacy from your other passengers. The autonomous vehicle is divided into four separate pods for one person each. They are separated by dividers that can be opened should you want to speak with the person seated next to you, but otherwise the space is all your own.

The pods are kitted out with everything you might need to pass the time on your own (depending on how far your ride is). An integrated screen is available for gaming or streaming, and there’s even a retractable workstation for those who want to take the office with them. And the seats themselves are built with zero-gravity seating technology to make the trip as comfortable as possible.

“The vehicle is designed from the inside out, prioritizing personal space, modular privacy, and social choice — rather than retrofitting autonomy onto a conventional cabin,” said a Pliyt team member. “The experience allows passengers to control how private or social their journey is.”
