It’s ironic that artificial intelligence chatbots have become so popular, and yet some people are wary of being seen using them. Fortunately for those who don’t wish to be seen associating with generative AI in public, you can now disguise ChatGPT as a Google Doc on your computer.

GPTDisguise is a Google Chrome extension created by someone who “found myself a little socially anxious to use ChatGPT in public.” All you have to do is install the extension in Chrome and then activate it when you open ChatGPT. The extension is purely cosmetic — it can’t turn your conversation with ChatGPT into an actual Google Doc. It just cleverly disguises the ChatGPT window so anyone peeking over your shoulder at the coffee shop won’t start making assumptions.
