DoNotPay really wants the chance to prove that its AI lawyer can hit in the big leagues. So on Sunday, CEO Joshua Browder took to Twitter to make a proposal.
Browder said that the company will fork over $1 million to “any lawyer or person” slated to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court to let its artificial intelligence take their place. Specifically, he wants the person to wear a set of AirPods and just repeat whatever the AI says.
Browder stated that the offer is serious, “contingent on us coming to a formal agreement and all rules being followed.” In a following tweet, he noted that part of the reason for the offer is to give the bot a chance to prove itself in more difficult cases. It is already scheduled to argue a case over a parking ticket in municipal court next month, but Browder worries that “the haters will say ‘traffic court is too simple’” for the bot.
