Language learning app Duolingo has reported a massive increase in people using the app to learn Ukrainian since Russia invaded the country last month.

According to von Ahn, the ad revenue from new users studying Ukrainian will be donated to Ukrainian relief for “at least the next year.” Duolingo will also offer codes for free versions of its paid Plus tier to refugees and hosts. It has also instituted a freeze on learning streaks for Ukrainian users so that their progress reports won’t suffer during the invasion.
