Quite a few people are fans of that viral song written by artificial intelligence that uses famous singer-rapper Drake’s vocals, but it appears that's not enough to win it a Grammy. Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, the organization behind the music awards, said that the track will not be eligible to receive an award.

The song in question, “Heart on My Sleeve,” uses AI-generated vocals of Canadian singer and songwriter Drake. Mason stated in a video posted to Instagram recently that the track would not be eligible for Grammy consideration because “even though it was written by a human creator, the vocals were not legally obtained; the vocals were not cleared by the label or the artists; and the song is not commercially available.”

The creator of the song, who remains anonymous and goes by the moniker Ghostwriter, released another track last week. This one, called “Whiplash,” uses the AI-generated vocals of rappers Travis Scott and 21 Savage. It has since been removed from TikTok but can still be found on X.
