Remember two months (what felt like years) ago when Elon Musk and Twitter put the Internet through a veritable roller coaster ride around the Tesla CEO’s attempt to
buy the platform? Well for those of us who thought that maybe the ride had ended, or at least smoothed out before the eventual end, Musk is here to remind us that we were just lulled into a false sense of complacency.
After finally announcing that the $44 billion deal was officially
terminated, Musk mocked the potential legal response from Twitter on — wait for it — Twitter. Using the platform that he first very much wanted to, but now very much does not want to, buy, he tweeted: “They want to force me to buy Twitter in court.”
Twitter has since said that it will be taking Musk to court in Delaware to “enforce the merger agreement.” And so the roller coaster ride continues.
