The company was showing a device that functions as an AI bartender, and it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Called the R1, the machine uses AI to whip up cocktails autonomously. But it doesn’t just follow standard, preset recipes like you might expect — that’s where the AI comes in. The device can make up a drink for you based on general inputs like how you’re feeling at the time or what your typical alcohol preferences are.

The R1 can only process up to eight ingredients at a time, so it can’t go too crazy with its concoctions. You can also override the AI’s creativity and tell it to follow a specific recipe. All this fun doesn’t come cheap though — the device will cost $1,099 for early bird pricing and $1,299 at its regular price.
