There’s a good chance the next fun animal video you see might be a fake, especially if it looks like it was filmed on a home security system. That’s become one of the latest genres of AI-generated fake videos that the Internet is falling for.

One of the most popular is a video first posted to TikTok that shows a group of bunnies jumping on a trampoline at night. The caption read: “Just checked the home security cam and… I think we’ve got guest performers out back! @Ring.” It quickly went viral, with more than 203 million views on TikTok. It is certainly cute, entertaining and a fake created by artificial intelligence. But, as many on the web have learned, it is quite convincing.

“This is the first AI that has ever got me,” said one viewer in the comments. “[How] is this not real,” said another. Perhaps nighttime home security footage is easier to fake, because there is a whole slew of these kinds of videos out there and some of them are pretty convincing.
