Many of us have forgotten our phone or keys in a ride-share before, but how about your brand-new mini fridge? Or maybe you accidentally left behind a kitchen faucet. Or a coffee table. Perhaps a double-door oven? A dishwasher?
Uber recently released its 2026 Lost & Found Index, its 10th annual list of the most common and strange things that people have forgotten in their hired cars in the last year. All of the above appliances made the company’s list of the 50 strangest things riders have left behind. Some other oddities included live fish and butterflies, dentures with two teeth, two trees (size unknown), a police radio and a propane tank.
The list of the 10 most commonly forgotten items was topped by phone, wallet and luggage in first, second and third place, respectively. New York was the most forgetful city, followed by Miami and then Chicago. People are apparently most likely to leave their IDs and wallets behind on Mondays, while phones are most often forgotten on Saturdays. Check out the full index here.
