We’re in the age of the streaming wars and everyone wants to know — which will emerge victorious as the best option? A recent survey from Whip Media (viaVariety) found that Max, formerly HBO Max, ranks highest for overall viewer satisfaction for the second year in a row. It was followed by Hulu and Disney+ in second and third place, respectively.

Apple TV+ and Paramount+ rounded out the top five — it appears having a “+” in your streaming service’s title can help get you into the top five. Maybe Netflix should give it a try to boost it out of sixth place, a continuation of its fall from fourth in 2022 and second in 2021. Prime Video and Peacock took seventh and eighth place this year, respectively.

Fortunately for Netflix, once the undeniable king of streaming but now on much shakier ground, viewers still consider it the most “indispensable” of the streamers. Twenty-seven percent of respondents said they would choose Netflix if they could have only one streaming service, and while that’s more than any other service, it’s still a steep drop from 41 percent saying the same in 2021.
