After another year of many of us relying on the platform to get a lot of our work done, Zoom has released a set of statistics about its users that we didn’t know we wanted to know (or that they were actually tracking).
For example, Zoom says that the most popular day for calls in 2021 was Wednesday, followed by Tuesday and Thursday. Average meeting sizes come in at 10 people, while the average length is 54 minutes. Seventy-one percent of users have had to say “you’re on mute” at least once this year, and 57 percent have had to ask if their screen was visible.
Fifty-three percent of Zoom users are OK with eating on camera, while 42 percent said they have made at least one call from their bed. Forty-three percent of users only cleaned the part of their room that the camera can see. And 43 percent have been interrupted by a child and 36 percent by a pet during a meeting.
