With artificial intelligence permeating anything and everything, it should come as no surprise that the tech has become so prevalent in sports betting. Kambi, which runs one of the world’s largest sports betting networks, released a new report that found AI’s presence in the area has grown exponentially.

Per the report, 48 percent of bets on the company’s network in 2025 were traded by AI. In 2024, the number was almost half that at 28 percent. In 2023 it was only 18 percent, and in 2022 it was a mere 4 percent. That was the first year the company offered AI trading, launching it just in time for the World Cup.

But since then, artificial intelligence has taken off and allowed them to greatly expand their portfolio. “AI has driven offering expansion across the whole of soccer, not just the top leagues,” the company said. “For example, since 2022, the number of bet offers have increased substantially on both the Dutch Eredivisie and English Championship.”
