What’s better than finding an available EV charger in a parking garage?

Answer: An EV charger in a parking garage that finds you.

EV parking spot
And it saves you a parking spot, too!

There’s nothing worse than planning to charge your EV while you’re shopping at the mall, only to not be able to find a parking spot with an EV charger when you arrive. Robotic EV charging system Ziggy hopes to prevent that.

Ziggy consists of a fleet of autonomous wheeled robots equipped with batteries and a charging cable, as well as an accompanying app. Drivers book a charger through the app before they depart for the parking garage. A Ziggy unit will be dispatched to find a parking spot and sit in it, reserving it. When the driver arrives, the unit leaves the spot so they can park, then pulls up right behind the vehicle. The driver then plugs it into their car and away they go. The app will inform them when their vehicle is finished charging, and they can pay with said app before departing.
