When will the first of Tesla’s Cybertrucks be delivered?

Answer: In late November.

Four years after it was first announced and two years after its initial expected delivery date, Tesla’s Cybertruck is finally going to be available for consumers. The first delivery of the unusual-looking vehicle will take place on Nov. 30 at Tesla’s Cybertruck Gigafactory in Austin, Texas.

Details about the event are scarce, although if it’s anything like previous Tesla product delivery events it will probably look more like a party than anything else. But the initial customers will finally get the truck they’ve been waiting years (seriously, years) for. The Cybertruck was first unveiled in November of 2019, with initial expected delivery in 2021.

As of 2023, Tesla had received almost 2 million orders for the Cybertruck, which required a refundable deposit of $100. And though the first ones will finally be rolling out to those who were first in line years ago, customers who placed an order later will probably still have to wait a while before getting their vehicle. In an earnings call this week Tesla CEO Elon Musk noted that there are production challenges and they likely won’t achieve their targeted rate of 250,000 vehicles per year until after 2024.
