Where might your next big Zoom meeting be held?

Answer: In a theater.

Zoom and AMC Entertainment are partnering to bring new options for meeting spaces. Rather than having to book out a big conference room, why not just head to a theater instead? Nobody’s using them at 10 in the morning anyway.

Starting sometime next year, AMC theaters in up to 17 cities will offer Zoom Rooms. These rooms, which will range in size from 75 to 150 seats, can be booked for three-hour time slots online. Zoom and AMC will provide the necessary equipment to set up the virtual part of the meeting. For additional costs, they will also provide services like movie screenings, food and beverages and personalized concierge-style services.

“As hybrid work has become more commonplace throughout the United States, Zoom Rooms at AMC will enable companies and other entities with decentralized workforces and customer bases to bring people from different markets together at the same time for cohesive virtual and in-person events and meeting experiences,” AMC said.
