Answer: Hawaiian Airlines and Qatar Airways.

It’s been about two decades since airlines first started offering Wi-Fi onboard their aircraft, and the feature is now a staple for many a traveler. But not all airline Wi-Fi is created equal. Ookla, which provides a service for measuring Internet speeds, recently analyzed in-flight connections to find out which planes have the fastest connectivity.

Hawaiian Airlines and Qatar Airways have the fastest onboard connections. Both airlines use Starlink’s low Earth orbit satellite network for their in-flight Wi-Fi. Others with fast connections were Spirit Airlines, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, Breeze Airways, American Airlines and Aeromexico.

This data speaks to the ability of Starlink’s satellite-based network to provide good Wi-Fi in the air. More airlines have been switching to this service, with both United Airlines and SAS currently in the process of outfitting their fleets with Starlink connectivity.
