Chick-fil-A’s latest new product is definitely one out of left field. The fast-food chain known for its chicken sandwiches has decided to launch a streaming service.
It seems the company hopes it can leverage its popularity combined with family-friendly content to establish its own niche in a very competitive market. The company is reportedly working with major studios and production companies toward a potential launch later this year. The intended focus appears to be family-friendly reality shows and other unscripted programs.
Chick-fil-A apparently already has Sugar23, Michael Sugar’s production company behind Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, on board for a 10-episode show. And the creators of NBC’s The Wall, Glassman Media, are working on a game show for the platform.
