About one-third of millennials said they want to preserve themselves with artificial intelligence in a recent survey by EduBrain. The ed-tech company asked 3,000 participants — 1,000 each from the Gen Z, millennial and Gen X generations — about their thoughts on a range of topics related to AI.
Gen Xers were the least receptive to the idea of AI-driven immortality, with only 10 percent saying they would be interested in preserving themselves with the tech. Millennials were the most receptive to the idea at 33 percent, while only 25 percent of Gen Zers said they would be into it. Gen Zers were slightly more receptive to the idea of preserving their family members with AI at 27 percent, while only 23 percent of millennials said they would want to do so. Gen X respondents were not keen on that idea either at less than 10 percent.
The survey overall revealed that among the three generations, millennials are using AI the most, with 37 percent reporting daily use, compared to 25 percent of Gen Zers and 19 percent of Gen Xers. Millennials and Gen Xers mostly use AI to find information, at 69 percent and 63 percent, respectively, while 60 percent of Gen Z respondents said they use it for creative tasks.
