Which major tech company is making executives work six days a week?

Answer: Samsung.

Samsung appears to be in a bit of a slump. The tech company’s recorded revenue in 2023 was down 3.8 percent year-on-year, and its operating profit for the same timeframe took a serious hit and dropped 34.6 percent. All this put the company’s 2023 balance sheet into the negatives, about $10.8 billion to be exact.

Samsung has responded by going into “emergency mode” and “introducing the six-day work week for executives to inject a sense of crisis and make all-out efforts to overcome it.”
All executives and top managers for the South Korean company will be required to work six days a week. That includes those from the company’s various businesses like Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDI and Samsung SD.
