The space company Blue Origin has announced the crew for its next mission, and among them is the popular pop star Katy Perry. Joining Perry aboard the New Shepard rocket will be Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, Gayle King, Kerianne Flynn, and Lauren Sánchez.
Sánchez, who is engaged to Blue Origin’s owner Jeff Bezos, was responsible for bringing this team together. This will be the first all-female space crew to launch in more than six decades. The launch is scheduled for this spring, marking the 11th human mission for Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket.
