Why is Twitter mad at Kylie Jenner?

Answer: For her private jet usage during a climate crisis.

Kylie Jenner recently posted what was supposed to be a romantic photo with her partner Travis Scott on Twitter. However, the fact that the post was about them deciding which of their carbon-spewing private jets they should use that day, many of the denizens of Twitter were less than impressed.

“Your waste of gas or mine,” wrote one commenter. Another called out one of the few who reacted positively, telling influencer and fashion entrepreneur Heather Sanders that she should reconsider her goals when she responded with “goals” and a heart and fire emoji to Jenner’s post.

And it’s not just the fact that Jenner and partner own private planes that the average Twitter user is unhappy about. It’s also the short but very carbon-intensive trips that she reportedly takes with it. According to the Celebrity Jets Twitter account, Jenner logged more than one very short flight between two L.A. suburbs in the last week. Those flights, averaging around 10 minutes, each produce as much CO2 as driving a gas-powered car for 2,482 miles. The average L.A. resident who hasn’t watered their lawn in weeks in an attempt to preserve our dwindling natural resources is understandably frustrated by this.
