Risk Management in 2021

What do you know about risk?

I recently had the opportunity to interview Michele Wucker, who is an author, speaker and strategist on the topic of risk. Her most recent book is You Are What You Risk: The New Art and Science of Navigating an Uncertain World.

It was a very engaging interview and the longest podcast I’ve ever recorded — we barely scratched the surface. Her book would be an excellent text for courses in emergency management to educate people on the topic of risk, so we can manage it ourselves and address programmatic and public education efforts with a more informed position.

If you are a working professional in our field, I also highly recommend it for your reading. It is written in plain English and I found it very informative and applicable to our profession.

Watch for the Disaster Zone podcast and my interview with her coming in the third week of May!
