HSMC is developing an audio tour and is soliciting sources for commercial, off-the-shelf, digital, portable, audio playback units for use by museum visitors during outdoor tours. HSMC intends to procure 40 units w/ charging and reprogramming stations. High reliability, maintainability, weather resistance, ease of updating program, compactness, and high audio quality are technical discriminators. Prefer one-piece units with no earphones (speaker in unit) with selectable random message playback.
