According to a recent article in the Bradenton Herald, Florida court officials will meet with state legislative committees regarding access to court documents via Internet.
A draft proposal by the State Supreme Court -- which addresses restrictions on public access and redaction of sensitive information -- is under review. Among other points in the draft, the possibility of setting fees for access has created controversy.
The Committee on Privacy and Court Records will study the draft and report by July. Public access to court records has been halted until a statewide policy is accepted, said the Herald.
