Michigan Internet Predator Arrested

"The Internet is a great tool; but too often when used by the wrong person, it can be a dangerous tool."

Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox announced today the arrest of Twigg Alan George of Drummond Island for using the Internet to disseminate sexually explicit material to a minor.

"Children are our most precious resource, and my office is committed to protecting them from pedophiles who lurk on the Internet," said Cox. "The Internet is a great tool; but too often when used by the wrong person, it can be a dangerous tool."

Attorney General investigators arrested George Monday at his home on Drummond Island. The defendant is alleged to have transmitted sexually explicit material across the Internet to a special agent in the Attorney General's office, posing as a 14-year-old girl.

Parents are encouraged to check their children's "buddy lists" for the screen names George used including "naturalfeelingforu." If they believe their child had contact with George, parents should contact the Attorney General's office.
