Description: The City of Altamonte Springs desires to secure the services of a qualified contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to clean and repaint a 500,000 gallon steel elevated tank located @ West Altamonte (@ Sr 434 and Sr 426). The work includes: The complete cleaning and repainting on the interior wet surface, the complete cleaning and repainting of the interior dry surface, and the complete cleaning and repainting of the exterior surfaces with containment. Additional work items include: repair of the painter's manhole; removal and re-installation of the existing cathodic protection systems; installation of new riser vent screens; removal of the top platform safety railing; protection of the existing antennas and cables, including other miscellaneous repairs. Additional bid items may include: Repair welding; Pit filling and surfacing; Interior chipping and/or grinding; Protecting and working around antennas; Furnishing and installing cable ladder and brackets on column and container; Second anniversary inspection; Ship's door in riser; New lights in interior dry area; Furnishing and installing structural conduit on column and container. The amount budgeted is $450,000.00. Altamonte Springs Board of City Commissioners requests interested parties to submit formal sealed bids/proposals for the above referenced bid.
