Description: Notice is hereby given by Downingtown Area School District, that sealed bids for the procurement and installation of a complete Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system for security at the Downigntown East High School will be received at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, Attn: Ms. Hampton, 535 James Hance Court, Exton, PA 19341 (610) 524-5000 until 1:00 p.m. on 6/27/2002. At that time bids will be publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded for presentation to the Dasd Board of Education. The work covered by these specifications consists of procuring and installing digital motion cameras with pan/tilt/zoom features, monitors at a central station in the building, a multiplexer, all video cables, electrical wiring, mounting brackets, etc. to provide a complete and functioning security system at the Downingtown East High School. A mandatory prebid meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on 6/17/2002 in the main lobby of the Downingtown East High School, 50 Devon Dr., Exton, PA. The Bidding Documents may be examined at the Dasd Facilities Office, C. Micken Ed. Ctr., 122 Wallace Ave., Downingtown, PA. Copies of the bid documents may be obtained at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, 535 James Hance Court, Exton, PA upon receipt of a non-refundable document charge of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) each in the form of a Check or Money Order made payable to Chester County Intermediate Unit. No Cash will be accepted. A $10.00 shipping charge is required if mailing of the documents is desired. Express mail charges will be additional. No partial sets will be issued. Successful bidders shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract. Prospective bidders are advised that this project will be subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in the bids or in the bidding.
